Changing the colors a bit could help make the difference between making a hen or a little roster (reminds me of the cornflakes rooster). - TR: Treble Crochet
- DEC: Decrease (2 SC together)
- INC: Increase (2 SC in same stitch)

Head and Body
Round 1: 6 SC into Magic Circle (6)
Round 2: INC each stitch around (12)
Round 3: 1 SC into next stitch, INC (18)
Round 4: 1 SC into next 2 stitches, INC (24)
Round 5: 1 SC into next 3 stitches, INC (30)
Round 6-12: 1 SC into each stitch around (30)
For the next round, we will be working the head only by crocheting around 18 stitches to create the head. Start from the middle and count the stitches. Combing two of the stitches will create 1 Stitch.
Round 13: 1 SC into next 18 stitches (18)
Round 14: DEC, 1 SC into next 16 stitches (17)
Round 15: DEC, 1 SC into next 15 stitches (16)
Round 16: DEC, 1 SC into next 14 stitches (15)
Round 17: DEC, 1 SC into next 13 stitches (14)
Round 18: DEC, 1 SC into next 12 stitches (13)
Insert safety eyes. Fasten off and stiff the body. Close up the head.

Round 1: Begin by attaching the yarn to the backside of the chicken and crochet 12 SC into each stitch.
Round 2: 6 DEC Stuff and fasten off. Sew hole shut
Wings (Make 2)
Round 1: 6 SC into Magic Circle
Round 2: 3 INC. Turn work
Round 3: Ch. 1. 1 SC into next stitch, CH. 2, 1 SC into next stitch, CH. 2. Repeat 3 more times.Fasten off and leave long tail for sewing
Round 1: 4 SC into Magic Circle (4)
Round 2: 1 SC into next stitch, INC (6)
Fasten off and leave tail for sewing.
Crochet directly on top of the head. Starting at forehead, 1 SC, 1 TR (in same stitch), 1 SC, 1 TR (in same stitch), 1 SC, 1 TR (in same stitch), SL into next. Fasten off and hide tails. *Stitch visibility on top of head maty be tough to see. Just crochet in each loop and move to the next once finished SC & TR.*
Row 1: CH. 7, 1 SL down to the bottom, CH. 7, 1 SL down to the bottom. CH. 7, 1 SL to the bottom. 1 SC to combine them all together. Leave a long tail for sewing. Attach to the back of the chicken
